Guides › How to Create a BigCommerce Facebook Product Feed
How do I create a Facebook product feed for BigCommerce?
In Export Stash, create a Multi-Channel Shopping Feed, set Channel to Meta/Instagram and publish it to a public URL. Add that URL as a scheduled data feed in Meta Commerce Manager to keep your Facebook and Instagram catalog up to date.
What you need
- A BigCommerce store with Export Stash installed
- A Meta Commerce Manager catalog for Facebook and Instagram
Steps
- Open Multi-Channel Shopping Feed and click Export Data Feed.
- Add fields: choose the feed fields to include.
- Advanced settings: set Channel to Meta/Instagram, then the currency, gender, age group and units.
- Set export method: choose Public URL and save.
- Click Set Schedule on the profile to choose how often the feed updates.
- Optional: choose Filter Products from the profile's menu to include or exclude products by brand, category, channel, SKU, title words or stock, or to skip hidden products and products without images.
- In Meta Commerce Manager, open your catalog, add a data feed with a scheduled URL fetch, and paste your feed URL.
Good to know
- Feeds are generated in RSS 2.0 XML, which Meta Commerce Manager accepts.
- The same steps create feeds for Google Shopping, Microsoft Bing, TikTok and Pinterest.
- You can also deliver the feed by FTP or email instead of a public URL.
FAQ
Does the feed work for Instagram Shopping too?
Yes. Facebook and Instagram share one Meta catalog, so one Meta/Instagram feed covers both.
How often does the Facebook feed update?
As often as you schedule it in Export Stash, from every 15 minutes to monthly. Set Meta's fetch schedule to match.
Can I exclude products from the Facebook feed?
Yes. Filter by brand, category, channel, SKU, title words or stock, and exclude hidden products or products without images.
