Guides › Google Shopping Profit Margin Labels for BigCommerce
How do I add profit margin labels to Google Shopping?
In your Export Stash Google Shopping feed, add a calculated custom label: choose a metric such as gross margin, set rules like "at least 50% then MARGIN_50_PLUS", and use the label to split product groups in Google Ads.
What you need
- A BigCommerce Google Shopping feed in Export Stash
- Cost prices set on your BigCommerce products, for margin, markup and profit rules
Steps
- Open Multi-Channel Shopping Feed and create or edit a feed.
- In Custom fields (Optional), click Add field and choose Calculated Rule.
- Metric: choose gross margin %, markup %, profit amount, price or stock level.
- Price source: choose price, sale price or calculated price.
- Add rules, for example If at least 50, Then label MARGIN_50_PLUS, and set the Otherwise label, such as MARGIN_UNDER_50.
- Save the feed and let it run, then in Google Ads subdivide your product groups by that custom label.
Good to know
- You can also set a label for products with a missing price or cost.
- A shipping label can be set from each product's dimensions in Advanced settings.
